At Wild Selkie Drums, many of our products are handmade, natural, and individually unique. We want you to feel supported when buying from us, so this policy outlines when refunds or returns are available.
14-Day Cooling-Off Period (Change-of-Mind Returns)
As an online retailer, we offer a 14-day cooling-off period in line with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations.
You may return an item within 14 days of receiving it, provided that:
· The item is unused
· The item is returned in its original condition
· In the case of animal hides, they must be unsoaked, uncut, unstretched, and unprepared
· You notify us in writing within the 14-day window of receipt
If these conditions are met, you may receive a refund of the product cost (excluding original postage).
You are responsible for return postage for change-of-mind returns.
We recommend a tracked service, as the item remains your responsibility until it reaches us.
Items Not Eligible for Change-of-Mind Returns
We cannot accept returns for:
· Used items
· Altered, soaked, stretched, or cut hides
· Items damaged after delivery
· Custom work, made-to-order pieces, or personalised items (unless faulty)
· Items not returned in resaleable condition
Natural variation in colour, grain, thickness, or markings in both hoops and hides is normal and is not considered a fault.
Faulty, Damaged, or Not-as-Described Items
Under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, you are entitled to a refund, repair, or replacement if your goods are:
· Faulty
· Damaged on arrival
· Not as described
If you believe your item is faulty:
· Contact us within 30 days of receiving your order.
· Provide your order number and clear photos of the issue.
If the fault is confirmed, we will offer:
· A full refund, or
· A replacement (if available), or
· A repair (if appropriate)
In cases of genuine manufacturing fault, we cover return postage
4. How to Start a Return
To request a return for either change of mind or a suspected fault:
Email us at hello@wildselkie.co.uk with:
· Your name
· Order number
· Reason for return
· Photos (if reporting a fault)
We aim to respond within 3 working days.
5. Refunds
Once your returned item is inspected and approved, refunds are issued within 14 days to your original payment method.
Shipping costs are only refunded if the item was faulty or not as described.
6. Your UK Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy affects your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
