I’m James - heartbeat behind this space. What began as a path of healing through sound has grown into a deep commitment to crafting instruments that carry intention, story, and the living pulse of the land.

My journey with drums was born at Caer Corhrain, under the guidance of Lynn Gosney, Bruce Scott, and Wendy Ruddick. From birthing my own drums in ceremony to supporting others as they connect with their new born drum, this work has become a core part of who I am. Every drum, every hoop, every hide is approached with respect - for the animal, for the tree, and for the spirit that will one day sing through it.

Here at Wild Selkie Drums, I offer handcrafted wooden hoops, high-quality hides, drum-making materials, all created or sourced with care and intention. My aim is simple: to help you find or create the drum that resonates with your journey, whether you are new to the path or deepening your practice.

Alongside my drum-making work, I continue to offer sound baths, Celtic-inspired energy sessions, and handcrafted ritual products through Wild Selkie Wellbeing. Everything I create - from a drum to an aura spray - is rooted in the same principles: connection, presence, and honouring the natural world.
